Hmmmm Yum yum Just
the other day my network “Celebrated” my birthday… the celebrate is in quotes
because, I looked up the meaning of celebrate from Wikipedia and it gave me this –
to acknowledge (a significant or happy day or event) with a social gathering or
enjoyable activity.
Well I will say people (Family, friends and colleagues did
all the above, I was just a reason for them to celebrate. My old age was
basically the main reason for this celebration. Phew!
Anyways am a year older, some thirtyish years ago, I came to this world, just
like any other child. ha ha ha ha dumb and naïve. I can comfortably say that I have
grown - literally (taller, fatter, stronger) but also I have grown mentally,
emotionally, spiritually and psychologically and am more wise and mature.
Today
I celebrate my growth. I am grateful to the Almighty God for the gift of life
and health. I can write because of His everlasting love and never ending mercy.
Amen to that. Hallelujah.
Well
am also grateful to my parents, who brought me into this world, changed my
napkins, taught me life basics, took me to school and to be who I am today. I will
be forever grateful to y'all(hi Maza and Mzae (that’s how I call them)).
Shout
out to my siblings, friends and colleagues. The many warm texts & audio messages
that you sent some even went an extra mile to sing the happy birthday song.
Asante Asante Asante. Asante for the Cakes too – they know I like the Black Forest flavor
and they made sure it was delivered on time and in plenty at my workplace. Well asante
for the gifts too. Ok, asante for everything in general.
Finally and officially I wish me a Happy birthday! I wish myself
many more years of joy, love, laughter, health and prosperity. I wish myself
strength and wisdom for days to come and success with everything I do today,
and tomorrow! (Lord Jesus this is my humble prayer)
