SKYDIVE DIANI

What prompted me to write this.. ask me not, because I know not.

Well this ..., (Diani Shenanigans) was pretty much planned, so day started sluggishly as some of us were tired because of previous night manenos at Tandoori (which fyi was awesoooooome ) - am going to write about that separately.

But we didn’t come thus far to sleep, we came to have fun, woke up, showers, dressing up like thus, make up manenos and then we hit the road to Diani's Forty Thieves restaurant. As usual we were a little tit bit late.. hahahaha Rih Rih is a queen so they had to wait for her :), 

You could tell who was going for the skydive from the rest of the crew because of their dorky outfits, they looked like penguins pretty much, anyway our girl was doing a tandem dive, she had to be dressed/ strapped up with this Russian hunk, phew thank heavens, well kidogo briefing and signing some paperwork - the skydiving waiver, I bet she didn’t even read a sentence, she just signed consent to die by falling off the sky.. How crazy does that sound?? Take a minute and imagine..

Everything was now set and they were off to Diani Air strip, a bunch of cool awesome people, both young and old, and Rih was all there convincing herself, if that old mama can do this, why not me? Soo much for motivation girl, this is the day, hii ni ile siku...the rest of us made our way to the beach / location they were gonna supposedly land we just had to wait a couple of minutes for them to start dropping off the sky like a hawk going on its prey.. 

 

Oh what a sight, 13000 ft above ground /sea level, or something close to that, they looked like insects, then like birds then later obviously like humans, ha ha ha first one to land were the tandem divers, I call them fresher’s ... kina Rih and etc., everybody was there all eyes glued to the sky some with mouths agape, some looked like award winning photo journalist, clicking on their phones and cameras, others were live recording, others snap chatting live, others just taking still photos....

And she landed... so awesome it was.. The sight I mean. Super! - check out the video, you will agree with me. She unstrapped, time to get off the chutes, kidogo chatter with the Russian and now the stories begin, oh how was it, did you shit your pants? Did you pass out? All kinds of questions and myths that is associated with skydiving.

But so far she was in one piece, and she seemed at peace so peace out! 

Skydiving is fun.
